Jay Woodall joins GIR as a National Sales Director
Jay Woodall has spent most of the last 20 years of his professional career in sales or operations management within the computer technology and electronic asset disposition industries. His career has included working for such organizations as the State of Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Unisys, the Xerox Corporation, and Intechra (formerly RetroBox, Ltd.). While serving as the Director of Operations for Intechra’s electronics recycling facility in Columbus, Ohio, Jay was instrumental in spearheading the process that secured the facility’s ISO 14001 certification. Jay has a strong belief in the importance of continual process improvement as well as servant leadership. He is a former Junior Achievement Consultant who, in 1998 was distinguished as the Junior Achievement Consultant of the Year, for Franklin County Ohio based upon his work with inner-city kids-at-risk. He is also a former two-term president of the Young Professionals Board and Board of Trustee member for the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio. Jay is a life-long resident of the central-Ohio area, where he currently resides in with his wife and two daughters. Jay has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering and Business from The Ohio State University.
Global Welcomes Lisa Collins, Regional Sales Director
Lisa Collins has been involved with electronics recycling with a variety of companies over the past ten years including DMC Electronics Recycling, Freedom Electronics Recycling and eDataDestruction. Although mainly responsible for business development, Lisa’s expertise includes all aspects of electronics recycling, from logistics to resale, to marketing and data destruction, and operations and administration. Lisa has served as a NEPSI Stakeholder and has been a presenter at many conferences over the years. Residing in Frederick, MD with her Yorkie, Lisa is in close proximity to keep an eye on the federal folks for GIR and work with the many federal contracting agencies around the beltway. She is a member of Women-In-Defense, an NDIA affiliate and NPMA's Federal D.C. chapter.
Welcome Paul Sweeney, Environmental Affairs Manager
Paul began working with GIR in 2007 after ten years leading environmental affairs for Transitions Optical, Inc. and one year as a self employed environmental consultant. Mr. Sweeney planned, implemented, and managed the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System for Transitions and assisted all global operations of the company to become certified under a global multi-site ISO certificate. Paul established and led the company’s award winning recycling programs, managed chemical inventories, and was responsible for all environmental permitting, reporting and handling communication with regulators for compliance issues. Mr. Sweeney has a B.A. from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL with a combined concentration in environmental and business management curriculum.
