Global Investment Recovery Wins Single Source DRMS Award

Tampa, FL - Global Investment Recovery, Inc. (Global) an international recycler of computers, telecommunications equipment, electronic scrap, and military electronics, has been awarded a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS).  The contact includes an eighteen month base, and three twelve-month options for the de-manufacturing and destruction of electronic equipment generated by the Department of Defense.

This nationwide contract is the first single-source DRMS award made for de-manufacturing equipment and has a maximum value of $10.9 million.  Global has had a continuing relationship with the DRMS/DOD since 1999 with an excellent past performance rating.

Incorporated in 1992, Global is one of only seven primary electronic recyclers selected for the Environmental Protection Agency/READ Contract.  Global also provides recycling services for OEMs, leasing companies and other large corporate entities.  Global Investment Recovery, Inc. is ISO 14001 certified with facilities in Tampa, Florida; Aiken County, SC; Reno, Nevada; and Tucson, Arizona and has recently announced the opening of two additional facilities in Shreveport, LA and Jessup, MD.
