Global Investment Recovery, Inc. has installed an SSI 400 horsepower shredding system at its Aiken County, S.C. facility.  The shredder is to be used for proprietary destruction services, as well as processing non-ferrous and precious metal bearing materials.

GIR has also purchased an additional SSI shredding system for its Reno, NV facility and expects the shredder to be operational by the end of October. 

In order to meet current customer requirements and growing demand, Global will be opening its sixth processing facility in Tucson, Arizona before the end of the year. This operation will also include a 400 horsepower SSI shredder.

Global will grow from 150 current employees to 200 employees in the first quarter of 2007. At the current rate, GIR will process more than 40 million pounds in 2007. Global is one of the nation's largest privately held electronics recyclers.
